Our "Georges" collection is a tribute to Parisian director and illusionist Georges Méliès. The creator of the first cinematic special effects, this trained magician invented special effects and laid the foundations of modern cinema. In 1902, he directed his masterpiece, "A Trip to the Moon." Yes, the first science fiction film was French! In an iconic scene, we see a team of astronauts propelled by a cannon into the eye of the moon...
A SINGLE-HAND WATCH
Minimalist and poetic, the dial of the Georges watch is inspired by the dreamlike world of the cinema pioneer. Its moon phase references the iconic film A Trip to the Moon, and in the background, a delicate embossing of concentric circles suggests the rings of an orbit or lunar cycles.
The whole thing is protected by a domed sapphire crystal, accentuating the depth of the dial and directly echoing the curvature of the Moon. On this collection, each index of the Georges watch represents 5 minutes and the half-hours are also marked.
THE MOON IN MOTION
The Georges collection features a magnificent moon phase complication. A perforated window in the dial allows you to accurately track the phases of the moon.

Thanks to the lug bar system, you can change the strap in less than ten seconds without tools. Be careful to put the part of the strap with the buckle at the top of the watch at 12 o'clock.
For GUSTAVE and Co., there is no "ideal" watch size. However, if your wrist measures less than 15cm, it is strongly recommended to go for a 36mm case. Conversely, if your wrist measures more than 18cm , we recommend a 40mm case.
